Statutory pay rates

Current statutory pay rates in respect of Family Leave provisions, Statutory Sick Pay and the National Minimum Wage are as follows:

Statutory payments

Current (from 5 April 2015)

Statutory maternity pay (SMP)

First six weeks – 90 per cent of employee’s average weekly earnings.

Remaining weeks - £139.58 or 90 per cent of employee’s weekly earnings if this is lower

Statutory adoption pay (SAP)

First six weeks – 90 per cent of employee’s average weekly earnings.
Remaining weeks - £139.58 or 90 per cent of employee’s weekly earnings if this is lower

Statutory paternity pay (SPP)

Two weeks - £139.58 or 90 per cent of employee’s weekly earnings if this is lower.

Statutory shared parental leave pay

£139.58 or 90 per cent of employee’s weekly earnings if this is lower

Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)

£88.45 per week

 

National Minimum Wage

Age

Current (from October 2014)

Expected from 1 October 2015 

Workers aged 21 and over

£6.50 an hour

 £6.70 an hour

Development rate for workers aged 18-20

£5.13 an hour

 £5.30 an hour

Young workers rate for workers aged under 18

 £3.79 an hour

 £3.87 an hour

Apprentice rate

 £2.73 an hour

 £3.30 an hour
